Gift baskets can be lots of fun creating. You can make millions of gift baskets and never do the same one twice. It’s about the end of the tomato garden season, so this will be our last chance to make some delicious fresh salsa recipes. I must admit though, I’ve never made fresh salsa from a “recipe”. It’s one of those personal taste things that require your own notes to make perfect. What I can tell you is what my fresh salsa recipes always start with. The exact ingredients and directions are listed on our salsa recipe page on Idea Queen. MY normal recipe includes only the following: - 3 or 4 Tomatoes - 1 or 2 Green Peppers - 1 or 2 Jalapenos - Garlic Salt Yup that’s it. I don’t add onions or anything else fancy. Just throw them in and bring to a boil. I let it simmer for awhile until it gets a bit thicker. Did I mention this all comes out of the garden? You can’t get much more “fresh” than...

For some reason, chicken usually ends up being one of the number one leftover in our fridge. It’s possible my kids don’t like “regular old chicken breasts”. To tell you the truth, I don’t think I do either. No matter what kind of spices or marinades I use, we seem to always go on a hunt for leftover chicken recipes. My absolute favorite thing to do with leftover chicken is put it in fried rice. You know, those cheap boxes of flavored fried rice that is “only rice”. I do have this recipe idea on our leftover recipes page on Idea Queen too.  This is especially good if I have leftover pork chop too. You just make the rice as normal, then throw in the meat (heated up over course). It gives it extra flavor and turns the rice into a main dish. Another recipe we used once was “Cheesy chicken”,...

When your toddler is bored, saying “go play” isn’t an option. It’s a cue they really want to spend some time with you. Luckily there are tons of things that will keep bored toddlers busy for hours on end. There are two main sections at Idea Queen you can look at when looking for projects for bored toddlers.
