It’s about the end of the tomato garden season, so this will be our last chance to make some delicious fresh salsa recipes. I must admit though, I’ve never made fresh salsa from a “recipe”. It’s one of those personal taste things that require your own notes to make perfect. What I can tell you is what my fresh salsa recipes always start with. The exact ingredients and directions are listed on our salsa recipe page on Idea Queen. MY normal recipe includes only the following: - 3 or 4 Tomatoes - 1 or 2 Green Peppers - 1 or 2 Jalapenos - Garlic Salt Yup that’s it. I don’t add onions or anything else fancy. For some reason, chicken usually ends up being one of the number one leftover in our fridge. It’s possible my kids don’t like “regular old chicken breasts”. To tell you the truth, I don’t think I do either. No matter what kind of spices or marinades I use, we seem to always go on a hunt for leftover chicken recipes. My absolute favorite thing to do with leftover chicken is put it in fried rice. You know, those cheap boxes of flavored fried rice that is “only rice”.
