There is nothing better than homemade salsa with ingredients from the garden! And tomatoes are so super easy to grow. The first spring I was in this house I did tomatoes and HOLY COW they took over! I had tomatoes coming out my ears!

Peppers of any type can get picky some years - last year was terrible for our peppers. Not quite sure why, but they just didn't do so well. In fact, I was lucky we had farmer's market in town last summer because I ended up breaking down and buying some. That's when I decided to do something different with the garden this year.

Seriously though, when you finally do make it, you'll LOVE IT!

I can't wait to try making my own batch of salsa this year! I keep saying I'm going to but it never happens :( Although, I'll be honest, it'll probably come from store-bought ingredients, lol!

I'm just learning how to get my "flowers, trees and bushes" gardens going. I started last year and I really want to focus on that again this year. Maybe next year I'll do the veggie garden?

That said though ... I *really* would like to do at least one tomato plant. As you already know, tomatoes are my absolute favorite!!

Anyway, back to the salsa - I really want to try out your recipe for the salsa because first of all I love how "open-ended" it is. It gives me the basics of what I need to know and then I can pick and choose what we like. Seriously, my family loves salsa so much I can't buy it fast enough! (Guess I should be happy that one of my kids' favorite snacks is chips and salsa, eh?)
