Card Making Ideas & Projects

There's lots of card making ideas you can come up with using the supply list above. We normally start with a blank sheet of construction paper and fold it in half. From there you can decorate your card with just about anything - glitter, buttons, beads, or any combination of items you find.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

- Nature cards can be made using dried flowers with packing tape to "laminate" them.

- Stickers can be used to decorate the entire card, and you can even use your own homemade stickers.

- Use popsicle sticks to create letters for the receiver's name, or a stick house.

- Glitter can be used to make Christmas Cards. Use your glue and outline decorations or Christmas trees, then sprinkle the card with glitter.

- Use yarn for borders, or silly faces. Since it's flexible you can make just about any picture or decoration with it.

The possiblities for card making ideas are endless - the only limit is your own imagination!

Online Card Making Ideas

Now if you'd rather skip a few steps and do your designing online, you could always personalize an eCard or printable card. Both are available at Blue Mountain.

We highly recommend Blue Moutain and American Greetings for ecards. While they aren't completely free, they do have a free trial. In addition to ecards, they also have the option to print your own special and personalized cards. There are three different membership options available at Blue Moutain: Create & Print, eCards, and the bundle of both. All three come with a free trial, so you can test them out before paying monthly.

The best part about this service is there are cards for every occasion. It doesn't matter if you are needing card making ideas for birthdays, Christmas, or other holidays. No matter what the occasion, they have it! Just click on the banner below to get started.
