Greeting Cakes for Kids
I can't say enough good things about these little greeting cakes. I received one as a random gift from a friend, and I swear they are the best things ever invented. They are perfect for kids, make great gifts, and fill the child receiving the gift up with sugar (best to give these to children that aren't your own!) .So what exactly is a Greeking Cake?
A Greeting Cake is basically a cake mix, which comes in a container that you choose the design of. Greeting Cakes come in containers for every occation, and some which can even be personalized. Perfect for a birthday, Christmas, or a special gift for a special occation.
Greeting cakes are so easy to make, even smaller children can cook the cakes themselves. I assisted a 4yr old and 2yr old in making our first Greeting Cake. About all I did was measure the water for them! I still can't believe how easy it was for them to make the Greeting Cake on their own.
Greeting cakes make absolutely no mess to clean up after their done (aside from normal kid messes with cooking and eating), since all the supplies are included. All you add to "cook" the Greeting Cake is water to both the cake mix and frosting. The containers are used as the "pan", and it's put in the microwave.
Since there was no occation to go along with this cake, we had a pretend party after the cake was done (less than 2 minutes in the microwave was all it took). Both children ate all the Greeting Cake, and I was lucky to get a few bites in. It was just the right portions for two young children.
The containers the Greeting Cakes come in can be used as trinket box for the child receiving the gift. You'll need to of course wash the containers out, but they are easy to clean.
