
Easy Halloween Recipes For Kids
Halloween is a great time of year to get creative with decorations, snacks, and treats. If you are looking for fun foods and crafts to do with the kids, the following easy halloween recipes for kids should give you some ideas to work with. Have fun!Easy Halloween Recipes: Pumpkin Cookies
These are found almost anywhere during the month of October, but so very easy to make. No need to buy the store version of this easy halloween recipe when it's so easy to make at home. You will need the following:- Pumpkin Cookie Cutter
- Sugar Cookie Recipe
- Frosting, or Orange Frosting
- Red and Yellow Food Coloring (if using white frosting)
- Raisins or other decorations (optional)
Easy Halloween Recipes: Pumpkin Logs
I haven't tried this recipe out myself, but found it in my collection. However, since you are carving pumpkins this time of year, it's a great recipe to use for the pumpkin "guts" that are left over. Roll:1 cup sugar
2/3 cup pumpkin
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup flour
Filling:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. margarine
Filling: Mix all filling ingredients together. Set aside Roll: Beat sugar, pumpkin and eggs for 5 minutes. Add salt, baking soda, cinnamon and flour. Mix well. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper after greasing the pan well. Spread batter over pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool 5 minutes. Remove waxed paper. Roll in a clean tea towel dusted with powdered sugar and let cool completely. Unroll and spread filling on the cake. Reroll and refrigerate. Slice and serve.
Easy Halloween Recipes: Zombie Food
Spagetti Pasta (brains)Nuts (flesh or bones)
Grapes (eye balls)
Yogurt, any flavor
Cook pasta and drain. Add nuts, grapes, and yogurt. Enjoy!
