Alright so this isn’t what you normally see here at Idea Queen. We tend to stay focused on recipes, crafts, and discounts. But my nagging love of music and a recent purchase has me bragging. Yes I’ve moved into the new century when it comes to downloading music. I found places to buy cheap mp3s. *GRIN* So here’s a few sites I’ve stumbled on that offer legal music downloads. What’s listed below are both places to buy full CDs (one time) and monthly sites offering unlimited downloads. Depending on which fits your needs is which service you’ll need to go with. 1. MP3s at Amazon My favorite place to buy cheap mp3s, but only because it’s the only place I’ve purchased them. Plus of course I have no desire to buy multiple tracks and albums a month. Just one album here and there is all I’m really...

I can be quite the lazy cook sometimes. While it’s true I love my bread machine and the pizza crust we make with it often, sometimes I just want something a little faster. Years ago before we even thought of having a bread machine, I made my pizza with the most unlikely crust. Flour tortillas. Yup, those things you usually make tacos and quesedillas with. I used them for pizza crust. The other day I got to thinking about it, and decided I wanted to use them again. Why not? It made an EXCELLENT thin crust, and was really tasty too. I use several too, spreading them out in the shape of a full size round pizza, so they overlap a bit. I used another old favorite substitution for pizza sauce – plain old tomato sauce. Since we added spices to the rest of the pizza, adding anything to the sauce really wasn’t necessary (I did it...

This recommendation comes from the 9-yr old boy, who absolutely loves Goosebumps books. He’s picked out a few of his favorites, which I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks in parts. Yes, he really does read THIS MUCH that we had to break up this selection of books in to parts! Night of the Living Dummy To start off, we’re going to share Chase’s love for a particular series within the Goosebumps series – Night of the Living Dummy. These he’s read a few times, and are fantastic for those just starting out reading Goosebumps. They encourage kids to keep reading on their favorite characters, then expand to a favorite author. Here’s a list of all the Night of the Living Dummy books: Night Of The Living Dummy Night of the Living Dummy II Night Of The Living Dummy III Bride of the Living Dummy Revenge...

Average Score: 4.00 out of 5 Read more about our scoring system here Buy My Fitness Coach at Amazon.com Looking for fitness that isn’t going to break the bank? I’m not a big fan of “buying extras” for a system that already cost a few hundred dollars, so gave this fun fitness game a shot. It hasn’t disappointed me, and I’m glad I bought this instead of the costly Wii Fit bundles. The Wii My Fitness Coach review you see below covers seven different areas of what we feel is important in an active family game. It is mostly for families looking for great games to play with elementary-aged children, and was tested by a mom, an eight year old boy, and a six year old girl. Detailed My Fitness Coach Review Fun Factor – 4 out of 5 If you don’t like to work out, then it’s possible you would score...

If you’ve taken a peek at the list of ingredients of any store brand shampoo, chances are you noticed a whole lot of chemicals and additives. Who needs that? It’s just as easy to make your own homemade shampoo using the recipes listed before. It doesn’t need to be complicated, and several of these are very simple homemade shampoo recipes. If you need supplies, be sure to see: Chamomile Fields Shampoo 4 bags of Chamomile tea (or 1 handful of fresh Chamomile flowers) 4 tablespoons pure soap flakes 1 1/2 tablespoons glycerin Let the tea bags steep in 1 1/2 cups of boiled water for 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and with the remaining liquid add the soap flakes. Let stand until the soap softens. Stir in glycerin until mixture is well blended. Pour into a bottle. Keep in a dark, cool place. Honey Egg Shampoo 1/4 cup honey 2...

I absolutely love cooking roast. I actually love cooking it more than I love eating it, but that’s beside the point. What I love more is adding fun ingredients and seeing what comes of it. The Experimental Pot Roast One Sunday while snowed in, I decided it was a perfect day to throw a roast in the oven. But I decided to throw some different things in and see what came out of it. Here’s what I added: - Blend of spice including sun dried tomato - Fennel seeds - Fresh cracked pepper - Garlic salt - Roasted red bell peppers (from a jar) - Jalapenos - Red potatoes Now granted the blend of spices I had is going to be slightly difficult to recreate, unless you have the exact fun spice container I have. But it proves a point you can about add anything you want to a roast depending on your tastes. If you happen to see “fun blends...

We all need a little break sometimes, right? There’s a lot of game sites out there, but my favorite place for cheap games to download (free of spyware, I might add), is Big Fish Games What makes Big Fish one of the top places to download games is the fact they add new games daily. It’s not hard to find favorites and games you’ll spend hours on in your spare time. Below you’ll find a few of my favorites I’ve played, and gone back to multiple times. Top Cheap Games to Download My taste may be different from your when looking for cheap games to download, but these also happen to be pretty popular games on the BigFish game list. I’m not big on “time management” games, but rather strategy type games that make you think. There may be a few “race the clock” type games within it, but for...

First let me start off by saying that Idea Queen is no girly girl. Make up does not interest me usually, and I can be quite picky. Also, I’m not the type that will pay ungodly amounts of money for something I hardly wear. However, my friend turned me on to E.L.F. Cosmetics simply because of their prices. I was absolutely floored to see how cheap some of their items were, and how many deals they have on dang near a daily basis. Because I love a good deal, I felt the need to share what discount codes for Elf Cosmetics that I’ve found. I’ll try my best to update this page on a regular basis as well. Average Score: 4.00 out of 5 (Read more about our scoring system here) Buy Mario Kart at Amazon.com Wii Mario Kart Review by Julie Miller Nursing Notions This is easily my family’s favorite Wii game and the one that is now part of our New Year’s Eve tradition with the invention of the Miller Mario Kart Cup. My family ages ranging from 40 to 3 love this game. Fun Factor 5 out 5 With in seconds of picking your character and vehicle all the way until the end of the 4th race, you are having a blast. Family/Group Factor – 5 out of 5 Even though the game doesn’t have room for everyone in my family to play (we have 5 and up to 4 can play Mario Kart at a time) we still enjoy taking our turn at sitting out and watching the others. We usually have at least one race for the championship after my husband gets home from work....
